Who am I?

Greetings, ​My name is Ghadiel Navarrete, I am a first-generation college student attending the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism with a double major in Political Science and Journalism.

As a scholar, I am proud to say I have made the Dean's list as a true Freshman and in the top 15% of my class.

I am always wanting to learn something new everyday no matter the topic. I like to get creative whether it be with my writing, camera shots or interviews.

I have interned for several outlets including ABC 15 Arizona and the Phoenix Magazine. I’ve also reported for the State Press and Cronkite News at ASU.  Using my Spanish-speaking background, I helped revive “La Prensa”, the Spanish version of State Press my senior year in college and helped translate stories and help other reporters with bilingual reporting.

I am a team player and will do whatever I can to help the newsroom inform our audience on the news that matters to them.

In my free time you can find me at my church taking part of the worship team as a worship leader and pianist. You can also find me going out with my friends and looking for the best coffee spots in city!
